The above article is an update. Her mother went to appeal to keep her out of the psychiatric ward and lost. She will be institutionalized because of her expression of her gender. She will be held until she conforms to male gender and then released to foster care, not her mother who was supporting her.

My mother claims that a computer is just a box and nothing on it has value. That words typed into it have no sway and no one you don’t know can’t make you feel anything you don’t want them too and if they make you feel bad then you’re letting them.
I don’t think she quite understands how powerful or important being accepted by people is. How important those ‘meaningless words on a lit up box’ can be to people. How when someone goes seeking a friend or someone who understands how much they, and all they get in return is the above video, that is hurts.
Words can hurt. Words hold power. That’s why a book is the most powerful weapon in the world. Because anything and everything that is said or written can chance the course of history or someones life.
You could have the best self esteem in the world and one word, one little comment can tear you down.
Please don’t let an anon, grey faced coward make you feel bad about yourself. Even if I don’t know you, I care about you and I want you to be happy. Life is worth living. You are wonderful.
